Pricing Your Offer: Why It’s Not The Right Time To Raise Your Prices

When is the best time to raise your prices? Why are you finding it so difficult to sell your offers at your new price? What most business coaches don’t teach you about raising your prices?

What is one of the biggest promises your business coach made you?

I bet it was he/she could help you to raise or double your prices and enroll high-paying clients at this new price.

But did your business coach also promised or helped you to be in alignment with that new price? Did your coach help you to also upgrade your mindset around money and charging this amount?

What most business coaches don’t tell you is that you need to feel align with your new price before you can sell your offer effortlessly.

The first time I doubled my price because I was told this is what I should do, I quickly lowered it on the coaching call because I could not get myself to charge that amount.

It was scary and I never believed I was worth that much or anyone would have paid me that amount.

And it was just $1000.

No big deal right?

But hey, the number doesn’t really matter. You could be charging $2k right now and you want to raise your price to $3k, 5k, or even add a small increase 🤏 of just $500.

The truth is, if you don’t work on your money mindset so you feel align emotionally and consciously, you are going to sabotage yourself.

𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑘 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒:

Experiencing anxiety when a new client is about to send you money. I was talking to a coach who would tell her clients to pay her at another time because she could not get herself to accept money from clients (from anyone to that)

Giving discounts or lowering your price on the call

Attracting freebie-seekers or clients who just cannot afford to invest in your program

Experiencing guilt or shame.

Or you could experience resistance when it comes to putting out new offers or even when it comes to marketing.

If that new number scares you then you need to upgrade your money setpoint.

So if you are working with a business coach and he is not helping you to upgrade your money setpoint (if he is not able to help you in this area), then you need to also hire a coach that will help you to do.

(Unless you want to go the next few months with struggling to sell your program.)

You will sabotage yourself because you are going to resist enrolling new clients. And if you do enroll new clients they are not going to be a good fit for your program.

You attract who you are, not what you want.

Alignment is crucial when you want to make money in your business.

You have to be in alignment with what you are selling, who you are working with, and with how much you are asking clients to pay you.

So don’t increase your prices just because you want to hit your next income goal faster.

Increase it when you have outgrown the level you are at, or you are also working with a coach that can help you to upgrade your money mindset.

If you increase your prices from $2k to 5k per month but you have an income setpoint of $2,500, your sales skills, how great your offer is, or how big your audience is, isn’t going to help you to hit your income goal.

And this is not just for new coaches or coaches, consultants, and service providers at the 5-10k level, coaches already making multiple 6 figures also need to upgrade their money mindset. At every income level, you need to upgrade your money setpoint or money mindset in order to attract the money you want to make.
