I work with a lot of entrepreneurs that struggle with Impostor Syndrome. This is one of the biggest problems that stop or hold many entrepreneurs back from starting or even scaling their businesses.

Many entrepreneurs struggle with feeling good enough. This is what Impostor Syndrome is all about, making you believe that you are not good enough. You have the belief that you are a fraud and people are going to see that you are not really who you said you are, despite your expertise or experience.

Maybe that is you right now. You have a big vision, you know what you want to do. You want to build a successful business or career doing what you love, but there is this nagging feeling that you are not good enough. That you are a fraud and with all your successes so far and your achievements, you just got lucky.

This syndrome makes you believe that one day everyone is going to know that you are not really who you said you are. You are an impostor. A fraud. You can’t really help clients to grow their business.

It also causes you to have the belief that you are not the right fit for that promotion or business.

And for you, you believe that is your biggest problem, this is what is stopping you and if you just overcome this problem then everything will be fine, you will be able to grow that business, or have a successful career.

I hate to burst your bubbles but Impostor Syndrome is not the real problem you are facing.

If you are constantly struggling with self-doubts and the ever creeping Impostor Syndrome then it is a sign that there is an underlying emotional wound that we must heal.

Impostor Syndrome and self-doubts don’t come from a lack of skills, ability, or lack of preparation (as you think). There is an underlying feeling of insecurity caused by an emotional wound that we must overcome.

That is why it keeps showing up. That is why at every level you keep feeling like a fraud or not good enough.
I bet if you take a closer look you will see that imposter syndrome has been showing up in your life for many years maybe as far back as a teen. And I can bet you remember a time when you felt confident and know who you are and then something happened that burst your bubbles.

Do I hear a 𝐘𝐄𝐒 coming 🙋? Of course I know what I am talking about😊

I know, because it happened to me also. The key to stop feeling like a fraud isn’t to get another certification or to try and prove that you are good enough or worthy, the key is to heal the wound.

I help my clients to do that by….

1️⃣Understanding the underlying core belief they are struggling with. Most times they are not aware of this belief because it has been covered underneath a bunch of surface beliefs like “I don’t have the right qualifications, experience, or skills to do this.”

2️⃣As we get clear on what the core belief is we look at the story or the emotional wound that created this story. Not so you can relive that story, but so you can finally make peace with your story in a safe environment and experience true forgiveness.

3️⃣While we are doing that we look at the gift that this experience or these experiences have given you. Let’s face it, our past made us who we are and help us to be the powerful coaches and entrepreneurs we are today. I am a Coach because I overcame a lot of emotional issues in my life through the help of God and coaching. Things like money blocks, impostor syndrome, people-pleasing, and so on.

4️⃣We get clear on the need that is not being filled and create strategies to fill that need. What self-sabotage is really about is the brain helping you to fill a need the best way it knows how to. For example, if you grew up seeing your parents always arguing about money, as an adult you could find yourself always in debt or overspending or avoiding money. When it comes to impostor syndrome if you were always told that you are not good enough or maybe you tried to sing at church and the kids laughed at you, as an adult you could avoid any form of public speaking or events where you are the center of attention.

We just create new and better strategies that the brain agrees with because it knows it is now safe to believe something new and act differently.

5️⃣Now that it is safe, we start creating new beliefs that support your goals and the vision you have for your business.
At the end of the day, you walk away feeling empowered and connected to your true self. The part of you that was lost due to all the stories you were told that made you feel unworthy, less than or not good enough.
